Senate Nomination Schedule
The Seven PC Party Senate Candidates have now been approved. They will campaign
until the PC Party of Alberta Campaign College to be held the weekend of February
10 to 12. The candidates will give speeches the evening of Feb. 10. Delegates will
be able to vote between the evening of February 10 and the morning of February 11.
Delegates can select up to three candidates and can use any mark in the boxes. Numerical
order of your votes carries no significance. All selections from the delegates will
be totalled. The candidate with the most marks will be the first candidate selected,
the candidate with the second most marks the second candidate selected, and the
candidate with the third most marks the third candidate selected.
Redekop, Jack will appear second on the ballot and any mark in the box beside Redekop,
Jack will qualify (X’s are the most common mark used).
It is not required to attend the Campaign College or pay the $200 to be able to
vote on the Senate Election. Delegates will be allowed free entry into the conference
the Friday evening and Saturday morning to hear the Candidates speeches and to vote.
Successful candidates will be announced by Premier Alison Redford the evening of
February 11, 2012. Please check back at jackthesenate.com for the results.
Conservative Party members eligible to vote for the Senate Candidates at the Campaign
College include the 87 MLA’s and/or Constituency MLA Nominees, the 87 Constituency
Board Presidents, the Executive Committee of the PC Party of Alberta and up to seven
representatives from the 87 Constituency Boards.
